I will try to analyze Louise's personality going through the several aspects of her persona in the more accurate way I could. The section is thus divided into the several side she shows in the story.

tsundere

Louise is mostly appreciate for her tsundere side, or well the characteristic that she usually appears cold with her partner (Saito) at first, but in the intimancy or when the relationship is deeper she shows a sweeter side in his regards. Louise wants Saito to believe she only considers him as her familiar, though she deeply cares for his safety and she doesn't want him to be in troubles. She's too proud to accept the fact that despite all his lacknesses she really likes him, or maybe she's only scared by the consequences of her feelings. Could she accept to be rejected from him? Could she throw away everythign she has for a commoner?
She's really undecided about this matter, and this is the reason why she doesn't want him to get closer to her, despite he tries without neither realizing about it.

jealous lover

Louise is very jealous. She doesn't really stand any girl around Saito, especially Kirche probably because she realizes she's very successful with men and she has a certain attraction for Saito. She oftenly find her familiar and her rival in embarassing situations and she can't help to become quite violent with both of them. She doesn't really realize that being that jealous, and especially trying to hide the origin of her jealousy under the master privilegies she has with Saito, doesn't help her in reaching his heart.

violent master

As a consequence of her jealousy and her attitude, Louise frequently shows a violent side. She really thinks she can do wathever she wants with her familiar, as most mages do, but she doesn't consider that Saito is a human and he has needs, feelings and rights. When she gets angry she menaces him in different ways, from sleeping outside to not receiving any food. She also physically punishes him and she can get quite scary as she shows this extremely violent and not so feminine side.

angry zero

Louise doesn't either have patience with other people, especially with her classmates who continously mokes her for her unsuccessful magic skills. She can become violent as well, but probably she can control herself in a better way because she doesn't feel she has any right to beat those who are of her same social status (or probably because she's conscious of the consequences of her acts). She can't stand many kind of people, from latin-lovers (like Guiche), to extravagant people (like Kirche). She's not envious of their personalities, belongings and such, she only has a genuine opinion of those she can get along well with. Hypocrisy is something she can't either stand.

noble heart

Louise has a noble heart. She always try to help those who're looking for her help, from Henrietta, her old friend and queen of her country, to her classmates.
She's proud of her noble origins, but only because she really thinks that soemone is noble when he/she can act according to the virtues and ideals he/she's loyal to. Someone who is noble doesn't run away from obstacles and danger, he/she has to face it with a courageous heart, and this is what she tries to do. She might seem a bit idealist and even stupid (due to teh fact that she needs help to survive in certain situations), but she has good intentions and her will is right and strong.

As a consequence of all the reasons I state above, I can say that Louise isn't a violent or obsessive person: she's only shy, she fears to not be accepted, she's scared by love, she can't stand her own failures but she's too proud to recognize them or try to improve herlself on those mistakes. I really believe she only needs someone who could lead her in life, who could help her out in finding her locked self, someone who could tell her she doesn't have to be afraid of the real Louise that sleeps within her heart. That person is Saito and I don't have any doubt about it.
